It was so fun to have Margaret and Cooper here.
They are two of our friends who visit us every year. This year they came all the way to Spain!
The first day there is not much to talk about other than us playing with them after school. Once it was Friday, we went to El Castelo de Soutomaior, a castle by our house.
Here are some pictures:
The day after we went to Valença and Afife (in Portugal.) Valença is a walled city. When we went there Cooper said, “That’s the daily wall.” (There are a lot of old walls in Spain.)
We also went to Porto. I got tired of walking. The next we went to Diverjump, a trampoline park.
We went to the Cíes Islands near our house on their last day. It is a national park and you take a boat to get there. The rules they said in English are no noise and don’t look at the animals. What they meant was, no loud noises or bothering the animals. Margaret and Cooper visited the light house.
My Birthday
Birthday parties in Spain are fantastic. Kids usually go to a place that has stuff like inflatables and ball pits to celebrate everybody’s birthday from that month, but we had the June birthdays at my house and some people came to do science experiments with us.
My birthday is not actually in June. It’s in August, but we had my party early because I’m going to be in America in August.
The parents came to the party too.
I’m going to miss birthday parties in Spain.

Grandma and Grandpa will be looking forward to celebrating your birthday in Colorado too. I think we might be able to celebrate on your real birthdays. It has to be fun getting to have two birthdays!!
I loved Jonah's report!!
