Every year the 6th graders at my school go on a week long trip to Salou and Sort (near Barcelona and France.) It took us 15 hours to get there on the bus with stops.
First we went to Salou for four nights. We went Port Aventura water park and amusement parks. It was really fun because I was with my friends. I even got to stay in a hotel room with them with no adults!
We spent the last two days in the Pyrenees mountains near France in Sort. We went rafting and went for a hike. The last night we went to a discoteca, a club for teens. It was interesting because most of the songs were in Spanish and everyone knew the songs. I didn’t know any of them at the beginning of the year, but now I know most of them because I’ve been in Spain a long time.
It’s cool that in Spain you get to go on a long field trip, but where I’m from in the US we don’t really get to do that.
My birthday
I had a birthday party at the beach this weekend. It wasn’t really my birthday, but it’s coming up soon, and I wanted to celebrate with my friends and say goodbye to them. So, it started at 4 o’clock. My friends came down to the beach and we played in the water, and then we sat down for a nice snack with chips and cookies and drinks like one of my favorites, lemonade.
After that we got ice cream. We were all allowed to have 2 scoops! I got oreo and after eight. I do not remember what everybody had, but I remember that Isa got lemon and straciatella.
In Spain, everyone gives 10 euros to your mom so your mom can get you one or two big gifts. I got vegan gummies and a gift card because my suitcase is too full.
Which suitcase do you think looks more full?
This is my last post from Spain. I’m going to miss my friends, but I can’t wait to get back and see you guys.
